The difference between our 2 year warranty and their "lifetime warranty"
We exclusively sell the highest quality of radiators available anywhere. This translates to an extremely low comeback rate. As our motto puts it, Our customers come back... Our radiators don't. We very rarely have to honor warranties because our products almost never comes back. When there is a manufacturing defect, it almost always become apparent within 1 year but to be safe, we double our warranty to 2 years.
Why a lifetime warranty is meaningless for conventional radiators (but great for racing products)
Conventional radiators are available in different qualities that are vastly different and are directly related to production costs. A high quality radiator is a combination of superior craftsmanship and the highest quality components:
• Plastics designed to withstand heat and pressure for the headers
• High grade aluminum that is far more resistant to corrosion and normal wear
• High grade copper, brass, and solder for solid metal radiators
• High-grade gaskets to properly seal the header to the core
• Properly threaded transmission and drain-plug fittings
The market is flooded with cheap, no-name, whitebox radiators that cost so little to those who sell them that they can afford to replace it as many times as it takes, "for a lifetime" without losing a penny. What these warranties leave out is never mentionned:
• Damage to your car from overheating
• The cost of labor required to replace the radiator -- again
• The time you are left without a working vehicle
• The cost of coolant, cleanup, and other problems related to leaky radiators
• The fact that they will be replacing a cheap radiator with another cheap radiator
Why lifetime warranties are great for racing products
Unlike conventional radiators racing products are often not driven year-round and they are built to be abused. In this case, a lifetime warranties means something very different: it means that you don't have to worry that a defect will emerge when you take your car out of your garage next summer after months in storage. Mishimoto and Yonaka offer lifetime warranties because they understand your driving patterns and they know what lies in store for their product. They want you to drive your car as hard as you can without worrying about whether your radiator can take it. It can. If that changes, they'll be there to replace it.
Mishimoto Performance (MP), warrants all of its products under its "no questions asked" limited lifetime warranty policy. Regardless of the defect in product, Mishimoto will replace the original product. Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original sales receipt from CoolDirect.
A trained professional should install all Mishimoto products. Any issues with compatibility or installation should be addressed before attempting to install the product.
Accident Protection
Mishimoto, under its no questions asked warranty policy, will provide a warranty for all claims including vehicles involved in accidents. Warranty claims must include pictures of the accident and an official police report, and must be within three months of the accident.

Drop Engineering (DE), warrants all of its products under its "no questions asked" limited lifetime warranty policy. Regardless of the defect in product, Drop will replace the original product. Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original sales receipt from an authorized dealer.
A trained professional should install all DE products. Any issues with compatibility or installation should be addressed before attempting to install the product.

Every Yonaka Motorsports brand product is covered by a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner.
Should a problem occur due to defect, Yonaka Motorsports will, at the company's discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge. Damage to the product resulting from an accident, neglect, or normal wear and tear will, at our discretion, be repaired or replaced for a modest fee.
Original Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. If a warranty claim is needed, purchaser should send product prepaid to Yonaka Motorsports.
Please note that all warranty claims must first be issued an RMA number (return merchandise authorization) BEFORE item is returned to Yonaka Motorsports. RMA numbers can be obtained by calling toll-free at 1-800-824-4852.
Products returned to Yonaka with freight charges owing or without a valid RMA number will be refused and returned to sender.
All other products
Subject to the obligations and exclusions below, CoolDirect Inc. warrants that the parts (the "products") sold by us to you (the "client") will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for 12 months (one year) from the date of sale of the product.
CoolDirect Inc., at it's sole absolute discretion, may either repair or replace a product with a new or rebuilt product, (which may include new and/or reconditioned parts) if found by CoolDirect Inc. to be defective in material or workmanship. All replaced or refunded parts will become the property of CoolDirect Inc.
In order to obtain warranty service, you must ship the product, together with the original dated sales receipt describing the product, to CoolDirect Inc. within the warranty period and CoolDirect Inc. will assume the costs of shipping the product back to you.
This limited warranty is transferable to any third party, including but not limited to any subsequent purchaser or owner of the product.
Exclusions
This limited warranty does not cover, and is void with respect to: (i) improper installation, storage, repair, maintenance, modification, defects or failures due to misuse, neglect, negligence, abuse, accident, physical damage, improper handling or shipping, abnormal operation or operation contrary to furnished instructions or warnings, exposure to fire, water, excessive moisture or dampness, or any substance inside or outside the operating system, or extreme changes in climate or temperature; (ii) cosmetic damage; (iii) products on which serial numbers have been removed, altered or rendered illegiblel (iv) cost of installation, removal or installation; or (v) damage resulting from fire, flood, or other acts of God or other acts which are not the fault of CoolDirect Inc. Under these exclusions, racing radiators may or may not be covered.
The purchaser's remedy for breach of this limited warranty, exclusive of all other remedies provided by law, is expressly limited to repair or replacement of any part or parts. All products returned for warranty consideration must be returned to MP with all transportation expenses prepaid. MP and CoolDirect shall not be responsible for damages to its product or injury to persons using the product when caused by improper opening of radiator pressure caps, burst hoses, etc. MP and CoolDirect shall not be responsible for injury or harm to persons or property caused by persons or vehicles using our products.
Note
Some provinces may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This limited warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from province to province.
